Parallel Mechanisms

Parallel Mechanisms

(OP)
Hello all,

Is there any reason why a mechanism will not work (drag or analysis playback) from a higher level assembly? I have a mechanism that works fine in the assembly where it was created. The next higher assembly currently has this assembly installed three times (using conventional assembly constraints, fixing the Coordinate Systems). There are no other mechanism constraints between the individual assemblies. Ultimately, the three mechanisms will be unique; will that fix the problem? Is this a bug? I can see many instances where copies of individual mechanism would be expected to work in a larger assembly.

Any thoughts?

Best regards,

Matthew Ian Loew
