Catia V5 R10 problems with multi model links

Catia V5 R10 problems with multi model links

(OP)
Has anybody experienced problems with link management in Part design and Assembly design.  When importing a published part body into a model from the master model the links are not always stable.  Essentially, if you modify the part in the master model it cannot be guaranteed that this change will be reflected in the imported copy, therefore components based on the master model may not necessarily represent the latest design.

Has anybody else experienced this problem and if so, how was it resolved??

Any help would be greatly appreciated because it’s driving me mad!!!
