Is there any way I can calculate (quickly and reasonably accurately) the liquidus/solidus temperatures of High Chrome Irons (typically 2.7%C 19%Cr)?

Also, To what extent will the above materials reduce in volume in the liquid state up to the completion of solidification (% Shrinkage)- Can I calculate this also ?

I have in my possession, the phase diagram for the Fe-rich corner of the metastable C-Cr-Fe liquidus surface.

I rather thought that someone could offer up a decent alternative.

Have a look at wwww.jmatpro.co.uk, the sotware there does
exactly what you want.
