How to Read/Write Part attribute without using the UG? I wish it can be done in the command line (like DOS);

Tks.

RE: Read/Write Part attribute

You can read them as string data on Unix systems.

Why would you want to write from outside of UG?

You could do it with a UG/Open API program in C/C++.

My tool is MS VC++ 6.0 ,
can I get the sample for the API C/C++ programs?

Tks,

RE: Read/Write Part attribute

I don't have any. I do all of my customization internally with GRIP.

Try UGanswer at http://support.plms-eds.com/ and do a search on 'attribute'. There is a sample C program in there on reading part attributes.
