Rendering in photoworks

Rendering in photoworks

(OP)
Can anyone help?
I have solidworks 2003 running on a nvidia based geforce 4 mx440 graphics card from leadtek.

When i try and render objects in any of the standard chromes the rendering appears as blocks of chrome on the image rather than one uniform surface.

Any help would be appriciated.

RE: Rendering in photoworks

leebo,

Are you using Chrome as a material or as a texture?  The textures are often tiled--resulting in blocks of a scanned-looking image--no good, unless you blow up the scale so big it covers all you need in one block.

If you go to Materials > Stock Procedural > Metals > Chrome Plate, you should get great results without any tiling effects.

Thoephilus,

Thanks for the response, I am not sure if i was using chrome as a material or texture but i will give it a try.

Cheers.

Lee
