I've just recieved a file that I need to convert, and have never seen this type before.

I believe that Actify's Spinfire uses .3D extensions to name its files.

It could possibly be a 3D Studio file. The actual format for 3d Studio is *.3DS I would ask whoever sent the file to you to send a iges, since almost any 3d cad package can send the file format.

Thanks guys, spinfire viewer worked(not as good as edrawings), but it worked anyway.
