Performance Environment

(OP)
I request information on the type of performance environment present, when constructing an ecolodge (Caribbean) constructed with timber. Also, what factors do I have to consider when constructing this structure, in terms of material selection (regarding concrete, steel, timber etc), termite attack, rot, availability of materials, cost, connections, paints, etc.

Thank you in advance for your assistance...

RE: Performance Environment

What is an "ecolodge"?

RE: Performance Environment

Due to wind loading and termites all most all Caribbean construction is concrete (block or poured).
