General Material Data Handbook

General Material Data Handbook

General Material Data Handbook

(OP)
I am a graduate Mechanical Engineer and would find it useful to have data book on material properties.
i.e. UTS, Yield Strees, 0.2% Yield Strength, Modulus Rigidity/Elasticity.
Many books generalise on say just aluminium or just brass, instead of different grades.
Any one have possible suggestions. Not too expensive either.
Grateful for any feedback.

RE: General Material Data Handbook

Try this internet address:

http://www.matweb.com/main.htm

My opinion, you will find here lot of materials

RE: General Material Data Handbook

Also try http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/mjvanvoorhis/techdata.htm

There are tables with data for various alloys and a link page exists to other materials related sites.

RE: General Material Data Handbook

Matweb is an excellent site.
Also, the "ASM Metals Reference Book" is a good source for the information you requested.
