Using the Solidworks to Mastercam converter.

Using the Solidworks to Mastercam converter.

Using the Solidworks to Mastercam converter.

(OP)
Does anyone use the conversion program made to convert the Solidworks files into Mastercam.  I'm trying to use it and mastercam says that it can not find a parasolid in the file.  What does this mean and what can I do to resolve it.

Thanks
Sam

RE: Using the Solidworks to Mastercam converter.

Contact MasterCam to configure it for reading SolidWorks files. Be sure to open the solid model not the drawing or assembly.

RE: Using the Solidworks to Mastercam converter.

I use the GibbsCam plug in and it works with no problems. I know for a fact that when Solidworks 2003 came out Gibbs updated their plug in to work with it.

RE: Using the Solidworks to Mastercam converter.

I believe the problem is that MasterCam has not updated to the latest version of the parasolid kernel yet.  That should be happening with their next update but you should call your tech guy to confirm this.
