Using .FAS files in AutoCAD 14

Using .FAS files in AutoCAD 14

Using .FAS files in AutoCAD 14

(OP)
Hello,

Can anyone tell me how to load and use .FAS files in AutoCAD 14? I can use regular .lisp files but I am having trouble with an .FAS file I downloaded. I am not familiar with FAS files.

I attempted to open the file with a word processor, but I just got a bunch on unreadable code and no text or instructions on the program like you usually get with a regular lisp file. Any background information on fas would be helpful.

Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,
John

RE: Using .FAS files in AutoCAD 14

I believe it is a "fast loading" compiled lisp file. Not able to be read or decrypted, similar to a .vlx file. Introduced with R2000, so no, you would not be able to run it in R14. Another incentive to upgrade? :)
