RE: cursor problem
I suppose you have turned on the AutoCAD Command Line Add-In. Go to Extras/Add-Ins and uncheck "SolidWorks 2D Emulator".
IMHO SolidWorks should cancel this stupid Add-In, its only there for marketing purposes. Have you noticed also, that you sketch entities wont add automatic relations while this thing is on? So do yourself a favour and turn it off and forget about it

RE: cursor problem
But the "Solidworks 2D Emulator" is such a benefit. Marketing purposes? Ha!
This feature is very helpful. I just haven't figured out what it is helpful at yet. But I'll keep working on it...
Now, you wouldn't be implying that they need to spend more time on beneficial features, or fixing the ones that don't work right, do you? I for one think they need to leave the drawing package alone. I think it is perfect the way it is, and by no means is it defective.
"Hey get off my computer. What are you doing?"
Sorry for that. I'm a Gemini. I stepped out for a moment and my other half took over. I'm back now though.

RE: cursor problem
From your post, I can assume that you agree that the 2D Add-Ins IS stupid and should go? Or do you prescribe to the "more than one way to do something" theory?
I to have had years of experience in using, training, programming, selling, supporting, etc. of not only AutoCAD, but Pro/E, MDT, and SW.
I remember when AutoCAD had a "revolving" right-side menu (as Pro/E did). They finally changed the interface (as Pro/E did) to the bazillions of icons we see today. In AutoCAD, you can use these icons effectively. You can also use the pulldown menus. Or you can still use the Command Line interface.
Which AutoCAD option is the one to use? It changes depending on your abilities and/or your stubborn-ness.
SW for all intensive purposes was born in the icon/pulldown era, and should not "backtrack" into a text command line format. Just because they have a minimalistic command line, does not guarantee AutoCAD users flocking over. So, end it. It is WORSE to use than the basic interface. Marketing fluff...
Also, for what it is worth, I for one (may be a lone wolf) think that SW should better their Windows based product rather than port over to a up-and-coming, but still vastly out-numbered operating system like Linux.
