Could somebody to sum-up standards applicable for butterfly valves (design, face-to-face, testing,etc..)? Is there any comparison between American and DIN standards?

Well!,

Here goes:-

1)British:-

Design standard:-BS-5155 (WAFER TYPE)
Testing standard:-BS-6755(PT-1)(FLANGE&WAFER)

2)A)AMERICAN:-

Design standard:-API-609(OFFSET TYPE)
Testing standard:-API-598(butterfly,gate,globe,check)

  B)
Design:-MSS-SP67,MSS-SP68
TEST:-AWWA-C-504
  C)
FACE TO FACE-ANSI-B-16.10
DESIGN& TESTING:-ANSI-B-16.34

There are still lot of standards I have not mentioned,It is what you decide to use for your valve is important.

If fire-testing is a requirement then valves to be tested to the relevant fire test specification e.g. API 609 valves tested to API 607, BS valves to BS 6755 Part 2,etc)

Marking: EN 19
Topflange: ISO 5211
Testing: ISO 5208, EN 12266, EN 1074
