Pro/Mechanic MNF File

Pro/Mechanic MNF File

Pro/Mechanic MNF File

(OP)
I believe that the Pro/M MNF file will include the geometry and modeshapes which I require to correlate with test results.

Is this an ascii file?

How do you create it because it doesn't seem to be a standard output file?

Many thanks.

RE: Pro/Mechanic MNF File

blackeye,

Take a look at the following links:
www.nupes.cefetpr.br/ProHelp20/promec/mnf/mnf1spec.htm#715320
www.nupes.cefetpr.br/ProHelp20/promec/online/filelist.htm

Here is some information you need:

Contains the model database in Pro/MECHANICA Neutral File format, including geometric and Structure-specific entities and parts and part mass properties. Pro/MECHANICA creates this file when you use the MNF command on the Export menu.

Indeed this is an ASCII file. However, there is no analysis results related information (i.e. no mode-shapes) in this file; only geometry and the information Pro/MECHANICA needs to construct the model (loads, constraints, etc.). If you need more information, try searching Google: www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=mechanica+neutral+file
Hope this helps.

Best regards,

Matthew Ian Loew
