Pressure loss Coefficients

Pressure loss Coefficients

Pressure loss Coefficients

(OP)
Hello Everyone,

I was wondering where i might be able to get pressure loss coefficients for numerous duct fittings, I have alot of 3 way diverging fitings (1 inlet - 2 outlets. It would be preferred if they were free

RE: Pressure loss Coefficients

I'd love it if all our resources were free also.

Try SMACNA's website http://www.smacna.org/, they have alot of resources on duct design including fitting losses. SMACNA is the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors'National Association. Another good site is http://www.constructionbook.com, which has many SMACNA resources for sale.

On an unrelated note, am I the only person who'd like to belong to SMACNA just for the name?

RE: Pressure loss Coefficients

Check out the ASHRAE Duct Fitting Database.  Like the SMACNA data, there is a cost involved however. www.ashrae.org  Also, engineering libraries may have a book "Handbook of Hydraulic Resistance" by Idilchik. University Libraries would be the best bet to find it.
