Boiler feed check valves

Boiler feed check valves

Boiler feed check valves

(OP)
A clients insurance company is requiring that we add an ASME rated check valve to the boiler feed, even though the Pressure reducing valve has an integral check.   He says that the check must be rated at 250 F.  The boiler is a hot water heating boiler ( actually 4 units in tandem) operating at 140-180 F at 15-30 psi.  Has anyone run into this requirement before?
