(OP)
Something I recently gather resourses for my diploma thesis is the resilient mounting
of propulsion units and especially marine diesel generators.I am especially  interested in the latest trends in this field as well as the different methodics in calculation of the isolation and the characterestics of the dampers.

RE: resilient mounting of diesel generators

Greetings,

Have you contacted any manufacturers of isolators?  I recall that Mason Industries has a decent real-world treatment of isolation that might help you get started.  I didn't see any of the text on their website (www.mason-ind.com), but you can get a copy of their "seismic restraint guidelines" and have a look.
