HP Office Jet 350 boot problem

HP Office Jet 350 boot problem

(OP)
I have an HP Office Jet 350 printer/fax machine, and Windows 2000 Professional.  Recently, the printer has started feeding a blank sheet whenever I boot the computer, then it says "Printing - waiting for data".  It sits there waiting, and does not print anything I send to it.  I turn off the HP, wait 10 seconds, turn it back on, go through the sheet feed cycle, off again, on again, then I'm finally able to print.  Something like this happened when I first got Win 2000, and a Microsoft support tech told me to delete a file (I don't remember which one).  This fixed the problem.

Does anyone know which file to delete, or some other way to fix this problem?

Thanks!
