Star/Delta wiring configuration problems,

Help please.Whilst reconnecting an 11.0kw star /Delta motor
after someone else had  previously removed it,I became aware that the wiring configuration of how it was previous wired had not been written down. I managed by trial and error to make the motor run correctly, in the same direction in both Star/Delta. However I feel I need some help in ascertaining the correct method that should be used for this procedure.
                                Thankyou.

RE: Star/Delta wiring configuration problems,

There is a device that is called a phase rotation tester which can be connected to the motor (no power required) which will help you get this done. I believe it is made by Biddle.

RE: Star/Delta wiring configuration problems,

How many leads did you start with?
