They get real obnoxious when I'm dimensioning hole positions, and I get an error message, because I've chosen the centermark instead of the hole.

RE: how do I turn off all centermarks on a detail print?

You can turn off the center marks.  You have to do it in your drawing template to make it stick.  It's under document properties, detailing.  You can uncheck auto insertion of both center marks and centerlines.  It is greyed out unless you are in a drawing file.  Since it is a document property, every time you open a new drawing, you get the settings in your template, so you must change it there.

Thanks for the tip.
When I upgraded to 2003 this became a problem with all my old templates.
