Tapped holes in sldassy parts dont show up in detail views

Tapped holes in sldassy parts dont show up in detail views

(OP)
It's my first dealing with "top down" styling, and I need help.  I've added tapped holes in a plate, transferred from a mating part.  They are shown in the assembly file, but when I go to make the detail print of the part, they dont show up.  What am I doing wrong?

RE: Tapped holes in sldassy parts dont show up in detail views

It sounds like you have added an "assembly feature" and have not edited the part in the context of the assembly.
Delete your feature and try again by selecting the part while in the assembly and then clicking the Edit, Part button or selecting this from the top menu. Work on your part just as if it were the only file open. When done, click the Edit, Part button off. Save the assy. Open the part and your features should be there.

Hi,

You can also try using Hole Series in an assembly Hole Wizard. This way the Hole will appear in the assembly and the part.

cheers,

Joseph
