Photoworks materials?

Photoworks materials?

Photoworks materials?

(OP)
After upgrading to SW 2003, I cannot seem to get surfaces to display their PhotoWorks colors in my SW window.  Also, when I render, the properties are not applied to my surfaces like they were in SW 2001.

Am I missing a setting somewhere?  Normally I'll pick selected surfaces and texture them differently just like I would a normal injection-molded part.  PW lets me do this, but doesn't display the results--neither in the rendering nor the SW window.

I have not yet installed any SPs, so am still at 0.0.  Also, I have the "overwrite SW properties for render" on and the other option off.  Any ideas?

RE: Photoworks materials?

I had the same problem when I first installed 2003.  I went to PhotoWorks/Options and set the ray tracing option to adaptive and unchecked cache model geometry.  Sounds weird but changing those settings did the trick.

That is weird, but it worked on my office system.  I'll need to try it out at home and see what happens.

Thanks a ton!  I don't know how I would have guessed that.
