BLOWDOWN TANK

BLOWDOWN TANK

BLOWDOWN TANK

(OP)
We have a case that we will use existing blowdown tank which was not actually used, this unit already passed the ASME Code Section VIII means to say all requirements were completed. We have now a new project which needs a blowdown tank, the design condition of this new project is slightly higher compared to the previous project in terms of SOT. And we are planning to use this blowdown tank but we have to plug other nozzles and add one in accordance to the orientation. This new project is also need ASME stamp, although this will be repaired through "R" code, but my question is do we have to re-hydrotest this although we planned to apply 100% RT? All constructive suggestions are most welcome.

Thank you

Leo

RE: BLOWDOWN TANK

Probably, speak with your AIA and review current NBIC for alterations.
