Add-ins recover after clean install
Add-ins recover after clean install
(OP)
After a clean install of SW (with registry cleaning), I lost the add-ins links like CosmosWorks (why I didn't backup the registry keys?).
Now I can't access these add-ins because they are not in the Add-In menu.
Is there an easy way to recover these add-ins without reinstall their programs or messing a lot with the registry? (are the keys creation with the software CLSID, under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Solidworks\Applications, enough?)
Regards

RE: Add-ins recover after clean install
Why did you do a clean install of SolidWorks (with registry cleaning)? Did you have some stability issues?
If that was the case, you also would want to do a clean install of the add-ins.
To ensure that your add-ins work properly, I would recommend a clean install of all your add-ins as well.
If you do not want to reinstall your add-ins, please contact SRAC to for their recommendations regarding COSMOS.

RE: Add-ins recover after clean install
I would reinstall all your add-ins Especially the SW add-ins. As for CosmosWorks I would probably reinstall it to, but check with SRAC first. http://www.cosmosm.com/works.htm

I need clean install as part of analysis process of some issues in my sw2003 installations. It seems to be related to hardware (VIA chipset VS. Oxygen VX1).
to all
I guess the best way is to reinstall the software (AAARRRRGGGHH!). I already am having enough problems.
Thanks
