To remove heavy hydrocarbon

To remove heavy hydrocarbon

(OP)
Can someone help to advise how to remove C5 & C6 in gaseous form from the sampling line before going to the H2S analyser ? What type of filters to be used?  Will it affect the reading of the analyser?

We have installed some filter to remove C6 in liquid form.
Appreciate a fast response.

RE: To remove heavy hydrocarbon

You have to refrigerate your mixture at an apropriate temperature allowing C5 and C6 to condensate in the drum

RE: To remove heavy hydrocarbon

If its required to remove heavy elements - dont the imstrument vendor provide a "skid solution"?

BTW:abdel27 solution is right. Maybe it could be done with a cold trap? This would depend on water content.

You need to do some thermodynamic calculations in order to estimate if this would influence your result.

Best regards

Morten
