I tried using the WAVE mapper to cr

I tried using the WAVE mapper to cr

I tried using the WAVE mapper to cr

(OP)
I tried using the WAVE mapper to create Linked Parts but I get an error saying linked parts are specified not to be done using wave mapper in my default settings.

How can I change this or have parametrically linked parts to use for creating subtractions of my part from a die block part in assembly.

Michael

RE: I tried using the WAVE mapper to cr

Edit your ug_english.def or ug_metric.def file to enable Wave linked parts. (It might be in your ugii_env.def file.)

On Windows, you will need administrator rights. The files are by default in the UGII_BASE_DIR/ugii directory.

If you don't have rights to save these files, ask your admin to chnage the values for you or explain why these features are disabled.

RE: I tried using the WAVE mapper to cr

you may also wish to make sure Assemblies_AllowInterPart: is set to YES, this is found in your ug_metric.def file (see below), as Ben said your need the access to mod the file.

! The following resource controls the availability of interpart expressions,

! Valid options are: [yes, no]
!
Assemblies_AllowInterPart: yes
