Washing Conveyors with Air Nozzles

Washing Conveyors with Air Nozzles

Washing Conveyors with Air Nozzles

Hey

I'm looking at using compressed air to wash a conveyor that is loaded with a very fine material that is about 10.5% water by weight.  Does anyone have success with this method, and specifically using the BETE FINZ 41 Nozzle?

RE: Washing Conveyors with Air Nozzles

I haven't used compressed air as a washing method... mainly used to displace contaminants and dry products.  Used in the form of air knives and torid shapes.  One other approach you may use for cleaning is ionization.  If it is very fine dust you are seeking to remove, ionizing it, then collecting it with an oppositely charged collector may be an alternative.  I know Exair has a full line of cleaning, drying, and ionizing products.  They may be worth looking at:  www.exair.com

Good luck!!

Thx concutter

The link you gave me was very useful.  I think I'm going to use one of their air knives.  Low initial cost for implementing, and low cfm to keep annual costs down.
