Centrifugal Switch used in Single Phase Induction Motors

(OP)
I am searching for alternative solutions, either electronic or electro-mechanical type, for the centrifugal switch arrangement used in single-phase induction motors to switch out start capacitor and/or switch in run capacitor. Can anybody help me in suggesting cost effective solutions and sources so that I can make use of the same

Several manufacturers come to mind...

Torq
Synpac
Macrostart
Lewus

Three-lead 1ø submersible-pump motors use a "potential relay" that seems fairly reliable.

Better yet—install 3ø equipment.

The most cost effective switch is the cheap mechanical ones used by the motor manufacturers.

My experience is the mechanical potential relay is not too reliable if used for heavy start stop duty - even with derating, unfortunately.

There are some electronic relays which would seem to be more reliable, howevever you should ask for life testing data. They were too expensive to even prototype in production motors.
