VIA chipset VS. Oxygen VX!

VIA chipset VS. Oxygen VX!

(OP)
I have problems running SW2003, resulting in invalid graphic data writen on drawing files (and only on drawing files - weird, isn't it?).

SW guys informed me that this is probably caused by issues between VIA Apollo Chipset and Oxygen VX1 graphic card.

Does anyone know about these problems? Can they be solved without the change of hardware?

Regards

RE: VIA chipset VS. Oxygen VX!

Hello,

Please make sure you are using the latest video driver for your card from 3Dlabs. Note that it is always good to uninstall the old driver, before installing a new one (and make sure the antivirus is turned off during the install of a driver).

The SolidWorks guy may be right, in the past upgrading the BIOS, and drivers of a motherboard can fix these problems. Please contact 3Dlabs support for their insight. As always, please back up all files before upgrading BIOS or motherboard drivers.

cheers,

Joseph
