Electrostatic Oil Cleaners for Hydraulic Systems

Electrostatic Oil Cleaners for Hydraulic Systems

(OP)
I am looking for information on electrostatic oil cleaners, for use on a hydraulic oil system. We are having problems with the build up of varnish in the system. The hydraulic system is used on a steam turbin and operates at 1200 PSI.

Can anyone point me to a good sourse of technical information on these types of oil cleaners? I have found some information using Google, but not much.

Thanks

RE: Electrostatic Oil Cleaners for Hydraulic Systems

You may have to actually go to the library and look this up.
This method is old but it works quite well.
Look under Dr.Cottrell of the Research Cottrell folks.
Dr. C developed the lamella buster that destroys the chemical formation of the varnish.
Write bach if you need additional help.
