warehouse ventilation

(OP)
i am tasked with designing a warehouse ventilation system. here are the option i'm looking at:
1. gas fired make up air in the middle with exhaust fans on both ends of the warehouse.
2. gas fired unit heaters spread evenly throughout the space. exhaust fans on the roof. rely on open roll up doors for make up.

any thoughts?

RE: warehouse ventilation

ramnam - I think either could work depending on your application. Just be wary of forklift charging stations and production of hydrogen during battery charging. See 1999 NEC
(Section 625-29 I think - from previous post. Not verified).

point taken! thanks!

RE: warehouse ventilation

ramnam - Depending of the size of your warehouse you may also want to consider using an air-turnover device. An air-turnover moves uses a prop fan to move large volumes of air over a heat exchanger (and/or cooling coil) providing heating/potential cooling and air circulation. I don't know where you live and I can only think of Canadian manufacturers but I can give you a few companies if you are interested.

Chris that's what i ended up doing. i am specifying two air rotation units. no roof hassles, no ceiling hassles!

thanks!
