ProE slow on a network

ProE slow on a network

ProE slow on a network

(OP)
Are there any good practices or settings such as location of config.pro or working directory location when handling large assemblies over a network.  All actions seem to be slowed down to a crawl, saves, modification of dimensions can take 30+ sec each.  Life was soo much easier when all work was local but we all have to share.

RE: ProE slow on a network

Temp files on the local drive.
If using Pro/I, workspace on local drive.
Working directory on local drive.
Pro/E code on local drive.

Filing to the network drive only when you have finished your work or at the end of the day. Local drives are not usually backed up.
