pro-e decrypter -is it available yet?

pro-e decrypter -is it available yet?

pro-e decrypter -is it available yet?

(OP)
When I try to open native pro-e files I get a message that I need the Pro-E decrypter.  I've asked my reseller and they said it hasnt been released, and that was a while ago.  Does anyone know if there has been any progress on this project?

RE: pro-e decrypter -is it available yet?

If you import the files in IGES format. solidWorks will open them without too much trouble. All features in parts are also brought in but it does strange things to assemblies. Also, the sketches for extrusions and cuts in the parts will not be defined. Apart from that it works OK!

RE: pro-e decrypter -is it available yet?

The status is in limbo due to legal implications between PTC and Solidworks.
