Virtually unusable, licensed remote frequencies

Virtually unusable, licensed remote frequencies

Virtually unusable, licensed remote frequencies

(OP)
Have two, dual freq. RPUs, sharing one freq., all in the 450-455 MHz range. Over the approximate past year, the signal from field remotes back to receiver, particularly when we move outside a 15-mile radius, becomes almost unusable. Constant stepping-on by myriad and largely unnamed sources has crippled our live remote broadcasts, or certainly reduced many to little more than phone capable. Aside from aesthetic appeal (some like a remote sound, others do not) any suggestions for remedy/alternative? Not for profit organizational structure eliminates high $$ solutions, but am I ever eager to hear what those experienced in this have to say. Are many others finding this to be the case? Suppose I should have prefaced questions with asking whether Eng-Tips supports Broadcast Engineering! Thanks in advance for your collective insights!

RE: Virtually unusable, licensed remote frequencies

The RA is trying to bring this industral telem band in harmony with europe, look at RA web site for more info
this band is becomming more crowded as some of the utils have lost their radio freq allocations and using lice exempt
chans to fill the gap
