Apparently there are devices that can be placed on a transmission line that tell you how much corrosion is present at that point in the line. Does anyone know about these devices or where to get them.

this deviced is called eddy curent corrosion detector.you can find a paper about this in IEEE,1998 by Mr.Havard.It induce eddy current around the acsr and can detect the location that galvanised steel was corroded and galvanic corrosion can be started.Another method is infrared camera..
