(OP)
has anybody had any luck with making a hyperlink in a dwg?
I have tried to insert an NAS1149 washer with a hyperlink to the spec. sheet in PDF format, so that when you click the block the PDF file will open up. Is this the incorrect use for autocads version of hyperlinks, i hope its much like a website hyperlink....

my pickfirst option is set at 1 and my hyperlinkbase is set to the corrdet path of the pdf file. still does not work.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated....

RE: hyper links

I believe you want to ...
Insert OLE object ...
Click from file
Browse to the file ....
Click link ...
And click display as Icon ...

Now when you double click on the icon that should launch you into your PDF document.
