Extrusion af shapes along a 3D polyline

(OP)
Please do anyone know how to avoid the shape spinning when it is extruded along a 3DPolyline ( in example to draw a rivet)

RE: Extrusion af shapes along a 3D polyline

Just a thought...
Perhaps instead of extruding the object you could revolve it around an axis?(let me know)
eg.  you draw a profile of the rivet and then revolve around an axis.
Hope it helped :)

number 1 if you are using plain autocad you cannot extrude along a 3d polyline only a 2d one so nat is right your gonna have to try to revolve it
and if you do need to etrude along a 3d poly line break it down into straight segments and afterwards then union all the peices together the only other way i know of is to use mechanical desktop
