Aluminum Weld Design Reference

Aluminum Weld Design Reference

Aluminum Weld Design Reference

(OP)
Does anyone know of any good and hopefully cheap references for aluminum design and the design of aluminum welds?

RE: Aluminum Weld Design Reference

We ordered and received, some years ago, the "Aluminum Design Manual", published by The Aluminum Association, Inc., 900 19th St., NW, Washington, DC 20006.  We have the sixth edition, October 1994.  Haven't used it much but it is essentially a complete manual of aluminum design, similar to AISC's Manual.  You might try calling them or searching on the web...don't have their website.

RE: Aluminum Weld Design Reference

You might try  "Behavior and Design of Aluminum Structures"  by Maurice L. Sharp  my edition is 1993.

Printed by McGraw-Hill, Inc.

RE: Aluminum Weld Design Reference

Try the ASM source Book on Selection & Fabrication of Aluminum Alloys, @1978, American Society for Metals.

I would also contact the American Welding Society.  www.aws.org
