Deburring

(OP)

I am currently composing an MP on deburring brazed waveguide components.  In doing this I need a conclusive definition of what a "burr" is.  Does anyone know where I might find a formal definition for "burr"??

RE: Deburring

The following standards may be of use to you:

ISO 13715 TECHNICAL DRAWINGS - CORNERS - VOCABULARY AND INDICATION ON DRAWINGS

DIN 9830 BURR HEIGHTS ON STAMPED PARTS

You can obtain these documents from Global Engineering Documents at http://global.ihs.com or from the respective SDO.
