A slip connection for joist to beam flange connection?

A slip connection for joist to beam flange connection?

A slip connection for joist to beam flange connection?

(OP)
(RE: joist to beam conn).  I cannot transmit any wind forces(perp)to the supporting beam.  I do need to transmit gravity loads. Sortof a "lean-to" frame. I would like to know is there a material to install between the joist seat and the beam flange to give it a true slip connection?
Thank you.

RE: A slip connection for joist to beam flange connection?

There are many companies that manufacture slide bearings. I've used Con-Serv on rare occaision ( http://www.con-servinc.com ).

I always used Teflon under my joists, joist girders and beams where sliding is required. I provide steel bearing plate, Teflon pad and provide slotted holes to accommodate your movement.

I hope this helps.
