Lets say I have a 1/2" copper pipe with no terminal fixture (open end). Static pressure is 60 psi. What is my flow rate in gallons per min. and what equation did you use. If I have to have a residual pressure, lets pick 50 psi.

You can use the following equation

delta P (in psi) = rho x f x L x v2/(144 x g x 2d)

Where rho = density of flowing fluid in lb/cu.ft
f = friction factor
L = length of the piping in ft.
v = velocity of flowing fluid in ft/s
g = acceleration due to gravity ft/sec2
d = internal diameter of the pipe in ft.

delta P = P1-P2 the initial and final pressures.

f = 64/Re for laminar flow. For transitional and turbulent flow regimes you should use colebrook equation or it's approximations.
