induction motor catalog

I have actually made a similar posting previously, but somehow my account was screwed up and i was unable to logon.

What I need is, the detailed catalog for an 11kV induction motor for any hp rating, cause i think it should be close to impossible to find for a 350kW motor... It is to be used for my final project, need the details for Matlab Simulink. Currently using the Asynchronous Machine pu unit blockset.

So if anyone knows the :
(1) stator and rotor resistance and inductance
(2) inertia constant
(3) friction factor
(4) no. of poles
(5) mutual inductance

- for a squirrel-cage induction motor. I am working with a 50Hz power system network.

thank you...

RE: induction motor catalog

Are you using the SimPowerBlockset?

RE: induction motor catalog

(OP)
yes exactly... that wat i am using.
do u have any leads ???

RE: induction motor catalog

I don't think it will be easy to find that exact info. The voltage is not that common of a utilization voltage for such small motors as you point out. NEMA MG-1 classifies a 350hp motor as a medium (integral) motor if speed is 1200rpm or above.  The standard voltages for three-phase 60hz medium motors per MG-1 section 10.30 are 200, 230, 460, 575, 2300, 4000, 4600, 6600 volts.  There may be such machines which have been special ordered but I don't think you'll find it in a catalog

RE: induction motor catalog

(OP)
yeah... so i realised that also...

not to worry though, i spoke to my lecturer regarding this issue. so we decided to change the rating of the induction motor.

i think it should be easier to look for any 11kV motor catalog rite...

anyhow, THANX for the reply.

RE: induction motor catalog

Why don't you take the motor in the SimPowerBlockset demos and scale its values to what you are trying to use.  The result will be quite close.

RE: induction motor catalog

(OP)
thanks man... i will give that a try.
