Installing SW2003

(OP)
Well our company has FINALLY decided to roll out SW2003 (they are doing it through Win2000 advertised programs which is done by the user - no IS visit needed).  I've read several posts that indicate that you should turn off anti-virus protection before installing Solidworks.  We have a Norton corporate package which I don't think can be turned off by the 'untrained user'.  Does anyone know where I might be able to find an 'official' statement from solidworks about the anti-virus programs that I could forward to our IS guys?  I checked but was unable to find anything.

Thanks

Also if you have a network install of an AV you should only simply neede to unplug your ethernet cable from the back of your computer. That will disable the AV if it is running from a server. Otherwise it's installed directly on your computer and you would only neede to RMB the icon in the lower right corner of your Task manager and click on disable.
