AutoCAD - Polyline problem

AutoCAD - Polyline problem

AutoCAD - Polyline problem

(OP)
Hi there,
I have just started out learning AutoCAD and am stuck with the polyline.
The problem I am having is joining polylines.
Eg. I have two circles 100mm apart I have to join the two with an arc of 200r. I am unable to join them with the lines intersecting in the correct place.
Also I've had problems with joining polylines together.
Appreciate a hand :)
Thanks
Natalie

RE: AutoCAD - Polyline problem

I think the problem may lie in the circles.  They are entities and cannot be made into polylines (if i'm wrong let me know).  I was able to make a polyline of the two segments of circles and an arc connecting them only after I trimmed away part of the cirlce.

RE: AutoCAD - Polyline problem

Qshake is right. Circles cannot be a polylines. You must define a circle with command called "Ellipse" (circle will be an ellipse with equal radios)

...or you can make polyline from circle using Boundary.
Boundary command makes polylines or regions.

RE: AutoCAD - Polyline problem

To join two entities making a polyline, their ends have to meet, you cannot for example join circles in a polyline or 2 crossing lines. If you use the block command you can join several entities.
