Building Vibration Code

(OP)
I am a vibration engineer.   Can any one guide me to any industrial accepted codes or guidelines for building vibration.   What are the accepted level of exposure to continuous vibration or the pulse type vibration.

RE: Building Vibration Code

You might try the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) or the International Standards Organization (ISO) for Standards regarding vibrations.

I would also recommend obtaining a copy of "Ground dynamics and man-made processes" edited by Bryan O. Skipp. The book contains a compilation of papers presented at a conference initiated by the Ground Board of the Institution of Civil Engineers, London, held on November, 1997.

RE: Building Vibration Code

The text "Construction Vibrations" by Charles H. Dowding has been helpful to me as far as vibration limits in many types of structures go.
