on-line air preheater cleaning

on-line air preheater cleaning

on-line air preheater cleaning

(OP)
We have a balance draft heater in our crude distillation unit.

The flue gas from the heater first enter a De-NOX
reactor(Selective Catalytic Reduction), and then go through a preheater before entering the stack.

The preheater has two section, the top section is made of
steel, and bottom section is made of glass tube.

Who has experience to do on-line cleaning for the air preheater?

How often do you clean the air preheater?

RE: on-line air preheater cleaning

is this a DEKA unit?

RE: on-line air preheater cleaning

I have the DEKA unit. Anybody have experience on on-line cleaning?

RE: on-line air preheater cleaning

We have a DEKA air preheater on a 115MM BTU fired heater.  We clean with a water flush on a monthly basis.  We have installed spray rails across the top of the unit.  We drain the unit to a sump where the water is collected.  The unit is bypassed during cleaning.

RE: on-line air preheater cleaning

Without wishing to "market" oneself too obviously!

We at Polarchem remove fouling in CDUs and air heaters.  The application of Polarchem (a nitrate based formula injected on-line into the radiation section in an aqueous solution) will remove/reduce the need for water washing.

I would be very happy to answer some more detailed questions.
