NFPA 79, 70E, OSHA REQUIREMENTS
NFPA 79, 70E, OSHA REQUIREMENTS
(OP)
What is the status of NFPA 79, Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery, and NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety Requirements for Employee Workplaces? Has OSHA "adopted" or "referenced" them in part or full, directly or via ANSI? How do the provisions of these documents affect repairs to EXISTING machinery, i.e the replacement of a door safety limit or E-stop switch?
Thanks,
Len

RE: NFPA 79, 70E, OSHA REQUIREMENTS
When making repairs or replacements I try to use the latest standards as a guide.
You might want to try posting this in the Occupational Safety Engineering forum under Industrial/Manufacturing Engineers section.
