Adding icon's to Icon Browser?
Adding icon's to Icon Browser?
(OP)
Hi
I'm interested in knowing how I can import .bmp files created elsewhere so that they can be used as icon's for Catia macros. I know you can create and edit new icons on Pro/E and would like to know if this functionality is available on Catia or if I can put pictures in the Icon folder and have Catia know to search for them or put them in the Customize Dialog icon browser?
Thank you,
Michael

RE: Adding icon's to Icon Browser?
I have a similar problem, and was searching for the solution today. I haven't found the answer yet, but I can tell you what I have done, which I *believe* is in the right direction:
* The standard icons are in:
<installation directory>/intel_a/resources/graphic/icons
* Catia is told where to look for these icons in the CATEnv files, which are stored in:
<installation directory>/CATEnv
* In my directory is CATIA_default.txt, which lists among other things, CATGraphicPath, which is set to point to the icons directory, among others.
* This profile can be edited using the environment editor, the executable is in:
<installation directory>\intel_a\code\bin\CATIAENV.exe
* Once you have added your own directory to the list of CATGraphicPath, if you exit it creates an icon that should start catia with your search paths in.
By my reckoning, this should mean that when Catia searches for icons, it will look in the directory you have specified, as well as the defaults. I believe that when you add new .dlls with CAA you follow a similar process.
However, I have not been able to get it to work as of yet.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Regards,
Mike
