I'm going to built an uninterruptible power supply for my 220VAC / 70W heating pump. For simplicity reasons I've chosen a simple 50 Hz sqare wave drive with a usual 12V to 220V Transformer ( H-Bridge).
Everything is running as expected but I'm now uncertain whether the motor will resent the steep slopes of the voltage offered by my inverter.
My question is, is this not as dangerous because it is an inductive load or what may one do to mitigate the problem?

There could be an adverse effect:
increased winding and rotor temperature due to winding current harmonics.

It depends have much safety margin on winding temperature you already have.  If the margin is low, it could shorten the life of the winding insulation.  But I would go ahead.

I'm not sure if there will be a dv/dt problem, I suspect not, it's a relatively low voltage as far as winding wire is concerned.
