How to see emails in imported *.dbx file from Outlook Express

How to see emails in imported *.dbx file from Outlook Express

How to see emails in imported *.dbx file from Outlook Express

(OP)
Hi,

I had emails stored in *.dbx files (e.g., Inbox.dbx) of Outlook Express 5 when I used my old PC. The *.dbx file is formed by Outlook express, and contain all emails of a given folder, e.g., Inbox folder or A_D folder which is created by myself.

Nowadays, I moved to new PC and use Outlook Express 5 too. To read these emails, I copied the dbx file (it is A_D.dbx in my case) into where Inbox.dbx of new Outlook located (namely, C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\{483DAFAC-90F0-49F6-96D9-337DDF5A3E93}\Microsoft\Outlook Express).

I expect the Outlook express in new PC show the A_D.dbx as one sub-dir and its content. While it does not.

Many thanks for any clue for solving the problem as I haven't save these emails into individual files.

Have you tried to import the files directly in OE?
