Forming Simulation Unknown Distance between Deformed Body and Rigid Surface

Forming Simulation Unknown Distance between Deformed Body and Rigid Surface

Forming Simulation Unknown Distance between Deformed Body and Rigid Surface

(OP)
Hello dear People,

I have a Problem with my forming Simulation and dont know where the Problem is coming from.
For a better Explanation i uploaded two Pictures.

In the first Picture you can see my model. I am using Abaqus Explicit and have Step Time of 0.1s. My model includes Interaction modul (Surface to surface) with tangential behaviour (Penalty friction model) and a elastic-plastic material behaviour. As Rigid Bodies i am using Analytical Rigid Surfaces.

Now... my Problem is i dont know why there is always a big gap between my deformed Body and rigid surface. In the end of my Simulation i have just a little contact surface, which does not really depict my real forming Simulation. In the second Picture you can see which gap i mean which is staying constant in time.

I hope somebody can help me or give some more ideas. If there are any question please ask them in the thread. Thank you

RE: Forming Simulation Unknown Distance between Deformed Body and Rigid Surface

Why is that bending wrong? Have you applied the boundary condition at the wrong end?
